Insane Random Ramblings

I complain a lot about my job. Well, now I’ve f****d up! I got sick. Everybody gets sick. Cool. Well I call off two day, then today I decide that I’m still sick and I’ll take today off too.

 Not a problem right? Wrong!! Call off 3 days and you need a drs. excuse to go back to work. I had flu-like symptoms so I stayed home.  I didn’t see a dr. Now I don’t know what’s gonna happen when I go to work on Tuesday. Besides the fact that my boss will be in a bitchy mood and I’ll probably get written up.

Sigh. Moral of the story. Save some sick days, just in case!

I shouldn’t have labeled my last post the way that I did. I don’t hate paid blogging. Far from it. I love it and not just because of the money.

I don’t know if I’ve talked about my short stories on this blog or not. I’m in the process of writing several short stories in different genres. I believe that paid blogging has made me a better writer. I’m better at articulating my thoughts. I’m also better at transitioning from topic to topic within a plot line or blog post.

Now if I could only figure out a way to get this blog to spell check and I’d be ok.

I do most of my paid blogging on 2 blogs. So I can’t get interim posts in fast enough some time. If I do 2 paid posts per day, I have to have 2 personal as well. Not really a problem, but since I blog for more than 1 company, sometimes I have multiple paid posts.

It’s easy on my blog about everything. Not so easy on my personal finance blog. I don’t have that much money to talk about!

I found this sports-related site written by all women. I swear it seems like there are 20 of them but there are around 6 or 7. The site is informative and well-run.

Anything that pertains to the Steelers or Phillies gets my immediate attention. This article really caught my attention. Hubba Hubba look at those Phils.  Any man in a suit is hot, but a group of guys in suits. Wooo lordy!

It was nice. It was small but not too small. There were close to 80 people there. The ceremony was held in the couples garage. It’s a two car garage and it’s huge. They had all kinds of covering up, so if you just saw pictures you wouldn’t even know it was a garage.

They had the pool open, so after the ceremony lots of people jumped in the pool. I didn’t take a swimsuit so I just sat and watched everybody else. There was tons of food. They have a big family so left overs won’t be a problem. There was also a good amount of alcohol including a keg of beer. I didn’t know those things lasted so long. It was at least 6 hours later and people were still getting beer.

It did rain during the reception but that didn’t stop everyone from having a good time including me. I’m glad I went.

Here’s some insanity for ya:

It’s my birthday!!!!!!!! I’m 29 and holding. I’ve been holding for several years. Maybe next I’ll start counting backwards. From 29 of course.

It’s hot as Hades outside. It’s close to 90 which is hot for Pittsburgh. I know you FL, CA and AZ people are used to it, but this is so not the norm for us.

School starts Monday. Blech. Where the heck did summer go?

I’m already planning my vacation for next year. Hopefully a cruise is in the plans. But if not, we’re going to either Jamaica or Cancun. I’m really hoping for Jamaica though. I went to Mexico on my cruise. So I’d like to see Jamaica this time.

2009 I would like to go to Trinidad. During Carnival would be nice but probably not a reality because of the cost factor and school. Darn school getting in the way of everything.

I have a wedding to go to tomorrow. I hope it doesn’t rain. It’s a backyard bbq wedding so I’m planning on wearing khaki capris.

I hope either the Phillies or Yankees are on tv this weekend. I saw them a few times this past week but I was on vacation and totally missed them the week before. I miss them so!

I had to do a double take when I saw some of the scores from yesterdays games.

Dodgers 15 Phillies 3

First, those seem more like football scores than baseball scores. Secondly, what’s up with the 3? I mean really, you don’t want to get shut-out but c’mon. That just seems sad.

I hate when I’m at work and have great ideas about things to blog about. Then by the time I get home or get around to blogging, I’ve totally forgotten what I wanted to write about. I try to write down my ideas, but some days I’m so busy that I don’t have the chance to.

 Maybe I should start sending myself email reminders.

Alexa makes absolutely no sense to me. I was on vacation for over 9 days, I hardly had any hits to my one site. My Alexa ranking went down. Between Saturday and today my ranking has risen by over 1 million!!!!!!!! That’s horrible. I need my ranking to go down not up.

Meanwhile, one of my blogger blogs has the ranking for blogger which fluctuates between 14 and 16. I don’t have my own ranking. I had a ranking on that site, but lost it for whatever reason. I wish the companies I work for didn’t covet Alexa so highly. It sucks! Page rank works just fine. Even if Google is killing me making me wait for the next update.
