It’s time to pick benefits

Once a year we get a chance to change our benefits at work. I have Aetna because UPMC isn’t available through my job. There aren’t really a lot of choices. I have about 3 companies to choose from plus my companies own plan. Their plan sucks, they don’t cover anything. Even the co-pays are high.

I had to weed through the different plans to get what I really needed. I mean I don’t have to worry about drug rehabs, but I do need my annual exam, eye exam and the dentist. Plus my annual “womanly exam”, which I hate with a passion. They great stir-rups roundup is what I call it. Anyway, I also want a plan to keep my copays down. My company is $15 per doctors visit, which isn’t too bad compared to others. My cost is about $25 per pay. Better to pay that than risk having no benefits.

I found a gift card

My computer desk is a mess. There is so much junk on that thing. I went to clean it mostly to get the dust off. So I start moving stuff around and I found stuff that I totally forgot that I had. I found a gift card, one of my gold chains, and $20 bucks.

The gift card is awesome because it’s for Target. I can go and buy a new pair of shoes. I looked at the heels of my everyday shoes and they are rubbing off because I’m so hard on them. I noticed that last week when I looked at the bottom of my shoes. I mean really, who looks at the bottoms of their own shoes? Well I did and I wasn’t happy with what I saw. This gift card will definitely come in handy.

I guess I gotta dye

My hair that is. I just wrote the last post debating whether to dye my hair or not. I love the color of my hair and don’t want to lose it but I can’t replicate it with dye. Well I found another gray today and I was pissed!

I wear my hair in this curly ponytail clipped up. I walked into the bathroom at work and saw this white piece of string in my hair. I started trying to pull it and noticed that it wasn’t a piece of string it was one long gray hair. It was the same length as my natural hair which is pretty long. I’m definitely finding a good dye for my hair.

To dye or not to dye

My hair that is. I usually just pull my hair back into a ponytail and not worry about it. Today I actually parted it and made it two pig tails (I didn’t have to go out in public). I grabbed one of my makeup mirrors to make sure my part was straight and what was the first thing I saw? Yup, a gray hair. Arggghhhhh!

I knew I had gray hair. I usually pull the ones in the front and on the sides out because I can see those. The ones in the back I usually don’t worry about because I can’t see them. But I know they’re there and I hate it. So do I dye my hair or not? I’m not sure.

I love the color of my hair. It’s a sandy brown color with these red highlights. If I don’t put any hair care products in my hair, it’s more reddish looking. It’s not like I can replicate that with dye. I can go a little lighter or a little darker but I don’t know what it will look like and that scares me. Then again the alternative is the gray. Yuck. I guess I’ll be looking at dye soon.
