Insane Random Ramblings

Tomorrow is my last day in the area that I work in now. On Monday I start my new job. I won’t be in the same building. I won’t even be in the same area. Right now I work in the Strip District and on Monday I’ll be in our downtown building. Once I start the new job, I won’t see any of my current coworkers because our work paths won’t cross.

Today they threw me a party. We have a mini food fest going on right now. We had breakfast and lunch food. We also have a boatload of snack foods. My friend Jennifer knows that I love cookies so she made me some homemade Ginger Snaps. I really didn’t want to share them with everyone else but I did. I also had Spinach dip and donuts.

Although I can’t wait to start my new job, I’m really going to miss everyone here.

We had a pretty mild winter for the most part. Until the last 3 weeks or so. Ever since that stupid Ground Hog Phil saw his dumb shadow, our weather has gone wacky. Yeah I know it’s crazy to blame the weather on a rodent, but I need to blame somebody.

It’s snowed 3 or 4 times in the past 2 weeks including today. At least the snow didn’t stick today. But I still don’t want to see it. I’m sitting here thinking about summer and sitting on patio furniture sipping Mai Tai’s. Then I get a dose of reality when I look out of the window and it’s raining, snowing or hailing.

I just washed my car on Saturday and it’s dirty again. I knew it was going to rain before I washed the car, but it was so filthy that I couldn’t wait. I had to get that road salt off of the car because that can rust your car if you don’t get it off. At least I have a garage now so the car will mostly stay clean.

I guess I should get back to work since my boss is giving the entire office the evil eye.

I haven’t really been blogging because I’m super busy at work. By the time I get home I don’t even want to look at my computer. I surf a couple of sites and then I’m done for the day. I’ve been training people for the last 2 weeks.

Last week I trained one person and this week I’m training another person on a different job. We just found out that everyone is going to have a workload increase so they want to make sure people are cross-trained. I’ll be starting my new job next week so I want to try to make their transition as smooth as possible.

I’ll try to get back on my every day posting schedule. During the work-week anyway.
