My Friday Five

I don’t have much going on today so my topic will be the next 5 things I will spend money on:

  1. Lunch - I didn’t feel like packing a lunch today so I’ll need to go out. I wanted a gyro yesterday so that’s what we’ll probably have.
  2. Tires - Three of my tires are bad so I just plan on getting 4 and keeping 1 as the spare.
  3. Jeans - I keep buying cheap jeans and they’re literally falling apart. I’ll just buy a good pair this time.
  4. T-shirts - It’s getting hot outside and I need shirts just to kick back and relax in. Footlocker here I come.
  5. Sneakers - Both pair of sneakers that I have are beat up and old looking. I’ll get a new pair. I’ll look online first to see if I can find free shipping. If not I’ll probably hit up Footlocker, but not at the same time as when I buy the t-shirts.

I know it wasn’t that deep today but I’m not really inspired to write. Next Friday will be more interesting.

John and his video games

They are both driving me crazy. When he first got his XBOX 360, he bought the Saints Row game. He was happy with that until Grand Theft Auto IV came out. He put that game on reserve and played it for weeks. Now he’s hooked on some Ninja game. It’s not the new one either it’s the old Ninja Gaedin game. Part 2 just came out this week but he hasn’t bought it yet.

He’s spent so much money on those video games that it’s not even funny. It’s his money to spend so I don’t say anything. He’s ready to start doing market research surveys to earn extra money to pay for the games. The cheap games start at $10 but they’re either old or used, sometimes both. He plays those games day and night. Most of the time I can’t watch tv because he’s hogging it up with his games. I usually have to go in the bedroom to watch tv.

I’ll have the last laugh though because the bedroom is a lot cooler in the summer. So he can stay in the livingroom and sweat like crazy while I chill in the air.

My class is half over

It’s actually more than half over. It’s only a 6 week course so they go really fast. Last Thursday made 3 weeks were over. So after tomorrow nights class, I’ll only have 2 weeks to go. Yesterday was the mid-term exam. I don’t think I did that great on it. I know I passed but I probably got a low B or a high C.

I got an A and an A- on my first two quizzes so I was hoping to get at least a B or B+ on the mid-term. Oh well, I can just wait until next week to see my grade. I know I’ll have to study a lot harder for the final.

I am so tired today

I usually don’t watch hockey but it’s the Stanley Cup playoffs and the Penguins are playing the RedWings. The RW were up 3-1 so everyone pretty much counted the Pens out. Then they started playing last night and it was insane!

Both teams were playing hard. The RW because they wanted to win the cup at home and the Pens because it was their last chance. The game went into 3 overtimes. The Pens finally scored with just 20 seconds left. It was like watching another entire game it was so long. But totally worth it.

Now the Pens play at home tomorrow. I know this game will be just as exciting!

We didnt do anything this past weekend

All we did was go out to eat on Saturday. We usually go out for a while after we eat but we didn’t even do that. We walked around the mall for about 1/2 hr and then went home. We’re usually on the go all day. This weekend was real laid back and mellow.

I should have studied for my exam that’s tomorrow but I didn’t. I even missed the new show on USA called In Plain Sight. I was really looking forward to that show. I love the shows on USA. Especially Monk and Burn Notice. I haven’t watched Monk recently and Burn Notice should be starting it’s new season pretty soon.

I know I’m a nerd. It’s the beginning of summer and I’m excited about new tv shows starting.

I really want to take a vacation this summer

I’ve been looking for travel deals for the past few weeks. All of my coworkers on going on vacation and I’m getting antsy for my turn. I realize that since I’m in school it will be a little harder for me to afford a vacation. I might have to go somewhere less expensive or stay for a shorter amount of time than I would like to.

I’m not really sure what I’m going to do but I want to work something out.
