Insane Random Ramblings

I’m starting to see these phones everywhere I go. The newer model phones with the keyboards or keypad in the case of the Treo or Blackberry phones. I’ve wanted a keypad type of phone for about 5 years now. I saw it but they weren’t available where I live. I’ve patiently waited and now the prices have come way down.

I think I’m trying to subconsciously sabotage my current phone so that I’ll have to get a new phone. I sat my phone down on the side of my sink. It’s similar to those copper kitchen sinks with the dual tubs that you see. Anyway I started washing dishes and my phone almost fell in. In that case I would have definitely had to get a new phone. And I would have had to pay for the phone because water damage is not covered under the warranty plan that I have.

After I visit my mom in two weeks, I think I’m just going to spring for the phone.

I really need a new computer. The one I have now is total crap. The screens freeze and I get timed out all of the time. It also overheats like crazy. I really can’t afford a new computer right now but I’m starting to look at prices just to get an idea of how much to save.

I’m pretty scared of those all in one devices though. If one part of the device goes out, will the rest be totaled? Or will I still be able to use it? I don’t know but I need to do some more research before I kick out several hundred dollars.

Money doesn’t grow on trees don’t ya know!

I know my professors have until Thursday to turn our grades in. I was hoping that the grades would come in early. I’m sitting here on pins and needles waiting for my grades to show up. My literature class didn’t even have a final so all he had to do was grade our final paper and our grades would be done. I took my theory class early hoping she would grade it but I knew she would wait until she had all of the papers graded before she posted them.

I just wish they would hurry up. I’m going crazy over here.

I’ve had off a complete week from school. No exams, no studying or reading. Nothing. And it felt good. Now that I’ve had a chance to relax, it’s time for me to start writing again. I plan on just putting down ideas on paper and see where it goes.

I’m also looking into taking a class this summer. I’m not sure if I want to take the film type of class or just a creative writing class. So far, I’m not impressed with the summer selection. I’m hoping that they add some additional classes for me to choose from. If not I’ll wait until the fall and see what’s available.

Either way I plan on getting started now.

I know this isn’t my personal finance blog but it’s a good topic. I decided that I wanted to cut some of my expenses and increase the amount in my savings. I looked at my budget to see what could be cut or scaled back. I don’t have bcbsnc insurance so I can’t cut that. I was able to cut my phone bill by a few dollars. My biggest savings was from downgrading my cable package. I have a bunch of channels that I never watch so it just made sense to dump them.

Now it’s just a matter of actually saving the extra money.

I thought that maybe since it’s going to be nice this weekend that I might check out a baseball game. Well the joke is on me since the Pirates are on their west coast swing. So unless I plan on flying to San Diego, I won’t be seeing any baseball. I could see what’s up with another close team, like Cleveland, but I know I won’t want to drive.

I do want to find something to do though. Maybe I’ll be like my neighbors and pull some patio furniture or lawn chairs outside and just watch everybody go by. As long as I’m off work, I really don’t care what I do.

I wish I was talking about cleaning up my blog. Sadly, it’s time to deep clean my apartment. I hate cleaning. I would rather do anything than clean. I would rather read phenphedrine reviews, study or even write a paper. Unfortunately, I’ve put the cleaning off so it has to be done. The worse part is that I have carpet, but I don’t have a vacuum cleaner. So I have to sweep the entire floor with a regular broom. That’s going to take me a long time.

Maybe I’ll just clean an hour or so a day until I get it done instead of trying to do it all in one day. 

I’m watching the news and a commercial comes on for a plastic surgeons office. The woman they show is getting surgery for her varicroseveins. Then they show a bunch of other people standing there with icky veins. It looked really nasty because their legs were really bumpy like cellulite but it was their veins sticking out.

I know it’s a fact of life for some people but geesh, cut the rest of us some slack with the grossness.

I was supposed to watch several games over the past two days. Most of them were rained out and had to be rescheduled. It really stinks because the free baseball preview was on so I could have seen just about any game I wanted. Now the games will be replayed but I won’t be able to watch them. The only thing I’ve seen over the past few days were commercials. Ads for bad movies, fast food galore and weight loss pills or exercise programs. There haven’t really been any good movies on at all.

At least it will be nice this weekend. Instead of watching a game on tv, I might actually get out and go to one.

It’s pretty crazy. For the past several months I’ve been bogged down with school and work. My last class was the week that just passed. Now I don’t have anything to do. I do have some writing goals that I want to start on but right now I can’t get into any kind of groove. All I’ve been doing for the past several days is watching tv. I’ve seen so many commercials for mesothelioma that I can recite them by heart. It’s just too bad that the only thing on television right now is reruns. I’m ready to watch just about anything.

At least next week I’ll be back in my groove with writing. I plan on focusing on that for the next few months and see how it goes.
