I’m addicted to playing online games

And I have so many sites to choose from. I love Bejeweled on almost any site that I can find it on. Then I play on PopCap and Pogo whenever I can. My computer sticks and freezes a lot so I have trouble sometimes but when it works, man do I get in the zone. I can literally sit and play some games for hours at a time. That doesn’t even include the sites where I can win prizes for playing. It’s a done deal once I get to those places. I’ll play for free gift cards, a rackmount for my car or anything else that they happen to be giving away. Of course, I have to love the game to play it. I really don’t play just for the prizes although they are a great incentive.

As a matter of fact, I’m off to play now!

Joke of the week

Cliches and Conundrums Part I

“You Learn Something New Every Day”
Actually, you learn something old every day. Just because you’ve just learned it doesn’t mean it’s new. Other people already knew it, Columbus is a good example of this. Edison and Einstein are the exception.

“The Sky’s The Limit”
Well, how can the sky be the limit? The sky never ends. What kind of a limit is that? The earth is the limit. You dig a hole and what do you keep getting? More earth. The earth is the limit.

“You Get What You Pay For”
Clearly this is not true. Have you been shopping recently? Only a very naive person would believe that you get what you pay for. In point of fact, if you check your purchases carefully, you’ll find that you get whatever they feel like giving you. And if corporations get any more powerful, you soon might not even get that.

“Everything Comes in Threes”
Not true. In reality, everything comes in ones. Sometimes, when three “ones” come in a row, it seems like everything comes in threes. By the way, in medieval times it was widely believed that everything came in twenty-sixes. They were wrong, too. It just took them longer to recognize the pattern.

I’ve been quite domestic lately

I’ve done a lot of cleaning and decluttering to my apartmet. Today is Veteran’s Day so I have the day off. Instead of lounging around like I normally do, I’ve been doing laundry all day. So far I’ve done 4 loads and I have 1 or 2 more to do.

By this time next week, I won’t even want to see a cleaning supply or utensil.

I have some cleaning to do

While I do need to clean, I have a ton of decluttering to do. One of my neighbors just moved out and I thought about how long it would take me to pack to move out. I’ve been in my apartment for a while so I’ve accumulated a lot of stuff. I want to throw away some of the old paper work that I have that I no longer need. The same goes for my old clothes and shoes.

I will do a deep cleaning while I’m at it. I need to shine my Kohler faucets in both the kitchen and the bathroom. I also need to recaulk the bathroom tile in the shower area. The kitchen floor could use a deep scrubbing while I’m at it.

Now that I think about everything that I have to do, I’m already tired. I guess I had better get to it.

I’m going to another house warming party

It seems like I’ve been to a ton of these in the past year. In reality this will only be the 2nd one. But I do have another friend that’s also in the market to buy a house. I have some things that I can use as gifts but for this next one I’ll probably have to go buy something. It won’t be anyhing expensive like a bell tv, but I will get something off of her wish list. I know she wants new bathroom accessories and there is a whole list of kitchen items that she wants.

I don’t like to shop for myself but I love to shop for other people.

I need to learn how to crop pictures

I wanted to post more pictures in celebration of the Yankees win but the one I did post didn’t come out right. They’re too long and too wide. I’ve never really had any luck with posting pictures to my blog. I’ve tried several times and I almost always mess up. I can find a life insurance lead or any other information that I need online but when I need to post pictures I have trouble.

I need to start networking with more bloggers to find out where I’m going wrong.

New York Yankees 2009 World Series Champs!

Is tonight the night?

The Yankees can win the whole shebang tonight. I’m really nervous watching this game. One of my coworkers said that if the Phillies win tonight, then they have the advantage for tomorrow’s game 7. Let’s just hope it doesn’t come down to that.

Go Yankees!

Game 6 tomorrow night

Unfortunately the Yankees lost to the Phillies last night so the series heads back to New York for game 6 and a potential game 7. The good news is that the Yankees can clinch the series at home in front of their fans. The bad news is that they still haven’t wrapped up the series and anything can happen.

When you factor in how hot Chase Utley has been, it’s a pretty scary proposition.

The Yankees can wrap up the series tonight

I was on pins and needles last night watching that game. When Joba gave up that home run in the 8th to tie the game I was going crazy. I just wanted the scoring to stop. I can’t be stressed watching a baseball game.

Tonight is game 5 and the Yankees can wrap up the series in Philly. I know a lot of Yankees fans would like for them to win at home but I want them to wrap it up tonight. If they let the Phillies win tonight and go up 3-2, that’s just too much drama to take back to New York. I wish I could just pack up some Eagle Creek luggage and take the trip to Philly and/or NY and watch one of these last few games. Unfortunately I wasn’t lucky enough to win a lottery to be able to go to a game.

Within the next 2 years I plan on making it to a playoff game. Hopefully it will be to watch the Yankees go for #28. But first they need to wrap up this series and get #27.
