Insane Random Ramblings

And I have to admit that I’m petrified. I haven’t had a hair cut in over a year. I’m very particular about my hair and rather than risk getting a bad cut, I won’t do anything to it at all. When you consider that I hate spending money on myself, then you can understand a little better. 

If I need something for my house like a shower curtain, comforter set, or a fish pond filter,, I don’t have a problem getting that. But if it’s something for me like a make-up or clothes, I’ll balk like it’s a big deal.

I have to admit though, I have another interview on Monday and I don’t want my hair to be a distraction. It’s pretty long and frizzy with a lot of dead ends. I want to tame it before I go meet with the hiring manager. Who knows, maybe the haircut will be the thing to push me over the edge to get the job. I can only hope so anyway.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed that my hair comes out right.

A guy bought his wife a beautiful diamond ring for Christmas.   After hearing about this extravagant gift, a friend of his said, “I thought she wanted one of those sporty four  

wheel-drive vehicles.”  “She did,” he replied. “But where was I going to find a fake Jeep?”

The day has started off bad. It was bad before 9am est. I still have almost 7 hours to go. Ughhh! First I got to work and two of my coworkers are nit-picking at each other like two children. Fine I can ignore that by putting on my headphones. Then I find out that they changed our pay schedule. That’s an annoyance because I already scheduled my bills. I pretty much know what’s coming out of each paycheck for the rest of the year. Now I have to go and recalculate my paychecks.

Then to add insult to injury, as I was writing my new pay dates in my calendar, I dropped a bottle of whiteout on my grey pants. Now I have white spots all over my shirt, pants and on the floor around my desk. The worse part is that I have to walk around like this all day. I look like I’ve been painting walls at work. Quite frankly I just look a mess.

I just hope this day goes by quickly.

Unfortunately I can’t take advantage of it. I just realized that my car inspection is due right now. I’ll clean out my bank account paying for the work that needs to be done on my car. In addition to the inspection and emissions tests that I need, I also need brakes on my car.

I’m sure that will set me back a pretty penny. So a short trip is out of the question right now. Especially since I still need to look into getting something like CLA to help me lose a few pounds. The last thing I need is to try to get on the plane and be told that I have to buy two seats. It sounds like a joke but it’s really happened to people.

That would be a horrible way to start or end a vacation.

We usually have the free preview by now. They only give it to us for between 7-10 days and I totally gorge on baseball during that time. I’ll watch the early game, the regular 7pm est game, and then the late game at 10pm. They don’t even have to be teams that I especially like either. Of course I’ll watch my favorite teams but then I’ll also watch those teams that I kinda like but aren’t my favorites or that have players that I really like (Ichiro in Seattle).

Right now all I’m seeing is regular network games. The weekly Sunday game and a random game here or there. I like the free preview because you don’t see a lot of commercials. No people singing about lunchmeat and no crazy bikers riding atvs around. They do innundate you with the commercial to buy the season of baseball on MLB Tv but there aren’t any regular commercials, which is cool in it’s own way.

I’m kinda bummed that the free preview isn’t here yet. I hope we get it soon.

Well the new baseball season has finally started. Yay! I already have a few things to talk about:

• Why do they have each team play their home opener and then give them a day off before their second game?
• On a related note, once these road teams go home and play their home opener will the same thing apply?
• I can’t believe someone already hit a grand slam!
• I can’t believe someone already had a post-game tirade.
• Are you kidding me with some is one a 0 for whatever slump 4 games in?!?!?
• I wish I had a big home theater or at least a big screen tv to watch the games on. My tv is only 32″ and sometimes that’s not big enough.
• I’m tired of people harassing me about my favorite teams so I’m not rooting for anyone publicly this year.

I’m just glad the season has finally started and I can’t wait to be able to sit back and enjoy some games.

A man goes into a restaurant, sits down at a table and an attractive young waitress comes for his order. He  gives her a smile and says, “I want a quickie.”  She turns red in the face and ahems, “Sir, I don’t know what kind of restaurant you’re used to eating in, but

 I can assure you you’re not going to get a quickie here!”   “How disappointing,” the man replied. “Could you ask the chef to make an exception?”  

“He doesn’t have anything to do with it!” says the waitress indignantly.  

“Hmmm,” do you know anywhere around here where I could get a quickie?”   

“I’m SURE I don’t know,” answers the waitress loudly.   

A patron from the next table leans over and taps the man on the shoulder, “I think it’s pronounced “QUICHE.” 

Ughh I didn’t think work could get any worse than it did yesterday. Well today super sucks. I don’t know if it’s just because I don’t like my job or what but I am not happy.

I have to find a new job and soon before I go crazy.

Work super stinks today. My workleader is having some kind of drama in her life. She literally just punched a wall as she walked out of the office. I guess now would not be the time to go to her desk complaining about the work I just got.

Speaking of the work I just got, it’s something I don’t even know how to do. It’s above what I’ve been taught. It’s extra hard and it’s something that a more “senior” person in my group should be doing. Instead of being 1 account, it’s the equivalant of 3 and there’s a lot of things that you have to manuever around to make yourself balance.

I am super annoyed and so ready to get out of this department.

I have several gift cards that I’m selling on eBay to get rid of. They’re for stores that I don’t shop at so I’m converting the cards to cash and adding the money to my savings account. I guess I could buy a stone sink with the money but since I live in a apartment I figure why bother. I’m not going to put the sink in and then not take it with me. That would just be more hassle than it’s worth.

I should have listed the cards last week so people could buy them for Easter presents. I didn’t even think of that until today. The upside is that people may want them now in order to get ready for summer. Either way I hope to have some extra cash by the middle of May.
