What kind of gamer are you?

Ξ June 12th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ John, games |

Do you play your games straight through to try and beat it? Or are you the type of person that likes to explore the game and look for all of the little details in the game? I notice that John is the latter. He drives me crazy playing his xbox 360 games. But he wants to see the whole game. He’ll say “I wonder what will happen if….”, then he’ll do something crazy like crash the character into a wall or try to kill someone he shouldn’t be.

I’ve noticed other people playing the same games have already finished the entire game. One person told me it was because he did all of the activities (missions). He didn’t do any extra, what he called, dilly-dallying around. He preferred it that way so he could get on to the next game.

Which type of gamer are you? Do you explore the games slowly or do you beat it and then you’re done?

John and his video games

Ξ June 5th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ John, games |

They are both driving me crazy. When he first got his XBOX 360, he bought the Saints Row game. He was happy with that until Grand Theft Auto IV came out. He put that game on reserve and played it for weeks. Now he’s hooked on some Ninja game. It’s not the new one either it’s the old Ninja Gaedin game. Part 2 just came out this week but he hasn’t bought it yet.

He’s spent so much money on those video games that it’s not even funny. It’s his money to spend so I don’t say anything. He’s ready to start doing market research surveys to earn extra money to pay for the games. The cheap games start at $10 but they’re either old or used, sometimes both. He plays those games day and night. Most of the time I can’t watch tv because he’s hogging it up with his games. I usually have to go in the bedroom to watch tv.

I’ll have the last laugh though because the bedroom is a lot cooler in the summer. So he can stay in the livingroom and sweat like crazy while I chill in the air.

How much money will you be worth?

There are 15 questions. Some of them are pretty weird. I wonder what would have happened if I didn’t save the dog. lolol. Take the test for yourself.

I don’t like the new Pepsi Stuff game

Ξ February 15th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ fun stuff, games |

First let me say that I’ve always drank Pepsi and will continue to do so. My consumption doesn’t change with any particular promotion that they may offer. Having said that, I’m extremely disappointed with the new Pepsi Stuff promotion.

A dvd is 90 points while a cd is 60 points. Are you kidding me? Even if you buy cubes of soda, you have to buy 15 cubes to get a dvd or 10 to get a cd. @@@ major eyeroll here. Those point totals are ridiculous. A music download is 5 points. Considering you can get them for $1.00 or less on I-tunes and other places, that’s still too many.

To say I’m not enthused about this promo is an understatement. To me the best option for points redemptions seemed to be the sweepstakes. Those odds aren’t much better though. There’s 1 trip, 1 home theater, and 1 $500 prize per day. If you go for the MP3 player or the camcorder, you have better odds with 50 and 40 prizes respectively.

I’ll probably just save up my points and enter the sweepstakes once a week to give myself better odds. I still think this promotion stinks though!

Pepsi Stuff starts today

Ξ February 1st, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ fun stuff, games |

The new Pepsi Stuff promotion starts today. Save your codes and enter them them online for great prizes like Amazon downloads and Pepsi merchandise. You can get the codes from under the caps of Pepsi products. You can also get codes from 12 packs of cans and the 24 can cube. Oh, did I mention that they have sweepstakes that you can enter as well? There are some great prizes.

This is good for me because I drink Pepsi every day anyway. It’s not like I’m adding something new to my routine. I just hope I get a good prize.

What’s up with the new Pepsi Stuff game?

Ξ January 18th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ contests, games, things that suck |

I’m an avid Pepsi drinker. I mean I have 2 or 3 per day and it doesn’t matter if it’s regular, diet, or my new favorite Pepsi Max. So I was psyched to read that there was a new game starting February 1st.

The problem? There are no rules that I can find yet. And the only “prize” that I can find right now is 5 cap codes for 1 Amazon music download. Ummm excuse me while I do a cartwheel (please note the sarcasm). You can enter your caps to win prizes like trips, cash and electronics. The instant win is a free soda. Of course, it’s probably buy-one-get-one like the last several promos.

I really love Pepsi but their contest/promotions or whatever you want to call them really suck anymore!

The Pepsi game

Ξ December 9th, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ games, Steelers |

I drank so much Pepsi trying to win prizes in that stupid game. I ended up winning 2 footballs and a Steelers hat. I wasn’t happy with the game however. I entered over 200 caps to win. I would say that half were given to me and the other half I actually drank. I hawked all of my coworkers for their caps.

The main reason I didn’t like the game was because it was one of those instant win type of games. Hypothetically you could enter once and win a great prize. I would prefer the save the caps and/or labels and send in for a prize. I’m sure the people who won were quite happy with the way the game was set up. I know one thing, NFL prizes or not, I’m not gonna play as much the next go round.

I’m not happy with the new Pepsi game

Mainly because I haven’t won yet. Well I did win a hat, but I want a good prize. I don’t need a xbox (which would be nice) but I would like some NFL gear or merchandise. I’ll keep playing though. Maybe I’ll eventually win something.
