Phillies lose 1st game

Ξ October 3rd, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ I love Ryan Howard, Phillies, sports, baseball |

I know it’s only the first game of the series but it was at home. Ugh, maybe I’m glad I wasn’t able to see the game.

And no, I don’t plan on updating each and every game. I just realized that I hadn’t posted anything today.

Ryan Howard is the new strikeout king

Ξ September 28th, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ I love Ryan Howard, Phillies, baseball |

Woohoo! Oh wait, that’s not exactly an accomplishment you should celebrate. lolol. He broke Adam Dunn’s record of 195 earlier in the week. Yesterday he set the record at 196. He also hit a 2-run homer yesterday and is a candidate for the NL MVP again this year!

Go Ryan!!!!!!!!!

I might go to a Phillies game

Ξ September 11th, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ I love Ryan Howard, sports, baseball |

I haven’t decided yet. I have to see how much money I have in my next check. It’s going to be short because I was sick. I have to take money out of my “fun money” account to make up for that money. Once I see how much money I have left, I’ll decide whether or not I want to go.

The game is at the end of the money in Philly. I would have to pay for a plane ticket as well as the game ticket. I’ll probably call my mom and go home so I don’t need to pay for a hotel.

I really would like to see a game in person this season.

Today was a good sports day!

Ξ September 9th, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ hotties, I love Ryan Howard, sports, Yankees, football, Steelers, baseball |

First of all the Steelers won! Did you really have any doubt? They beat the Brownies 34-7. Mike Tomlin wins his first NFL game.

Did you know that the last three Steelers coaches Chuck Noll (1969), Bill Cowher (1992) and Mike Tomlin (2007) all won their coaching debuts?

The Phillies and Yankees also won today. The Phillies beat the Marlins 8-5 and the Yankees beat the Royals 6-3. And as if that wasn’t enough, I got to watch the Phillies play the Marlins yesterday. They also won that game. The Phillies need to keep winning, they were dropping back in the wild card race.

All in all it was a good day for sports. I love days like this.

Who am I supposed to be rooting for again?

Ξ September 1st, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ I love Ryan Howard, sports, Yankees, baseball |

This is the time of year where I go crazy with baseball. There are about 4 weeks left in the regular season and the wild-card races are heating up.

The Yankees lead the Mariners by 1 game with the Tigers right on their heels in the wild-card race. They only trail Boston by 5 in the east because of their sweep last week.

The Phillies are 2 behind in both the East and the wild-card. But the Dodgers and Braves are right on their heels.

So not only do I have to cheer for my team to win, I have to cheer for a bazillion other teams to lose.

Check out the hotties!

I found this sports-related site written by all women. I swear it seems like there are 20 of them but there are around 6 or 7. The site is informative and well-run.

Anything that pertains to the Steelers or Phillies gets my immediate attention. This article really caught my attention. Hubba Hubba look at those Phils.  Any man in a suit is hot, but a group of guys in suits. Wooo lordy!

Check out the Hump Day Hottie post. There are some mighty fine men on that page! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did and still am!

This sucks!!!!

Ξ August 19th, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ I love Ryan Howard, sports, baseball |

The Phillies were in town this weekend and I didn’t get to go at all. Friday I was away on vacation. Yesterday I got home but the game was almost over by the time I got off of the plane. Now today, I’m sick so I can’t go sit outside.

Add to the fact that it’s raining and there’s no way I could go watch the game. I was really hoping for a rain out so they would have to make up the game. No such luck. And I wanted to go see Ryan Howard. Pout, pout, pout.

Insane Random Ramblings

Ξ July 22nd, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ sports, I love Ryan Howard, tv, Steelers, football, baseball |

I started to just name this post random ramblings or something like that. Then I decided to put my whole blog name into the post because there are several other blogs with those words in their title.

Anyway, training camp starts tomorrow and I’m not excited. Maybe once we start preseason games I’ll be more into it. I’ve never even been to Latrobe to watch the players train.

I still haven’t made plans to go to a baseball game yet. I’m thinking about going to the Phillies game on 8/19. That’s the day after I get back from my cruise. I can’t go on Saturday the 18th because by the time I get home, the game will have already started. I don’t have anyone to go with yet, but I might go by myself.

I know one thing, if I do go see the Phillies, Ryan Howard better homer or I’ll be mighty pissed. Ok, if Chase Utley homers I’ll be happy too.

I have a lot of stuff to buy before my cruise. I need to make a list so I don’t forget anything. I need batteries for my digital camera and disposable cameras to take along. I want new sneakers too.

I wish I could afford that MLB package. I really enjoyed being able to watch games all day and all night. I don’t go out much. I’m a real homebody. I could watch tv all day and night so the more games I see the better. I wish that special would have lasted a little longer. Like the rest of the season!

I never liked diet soda. I’ve been drinking it because I’m trying to lose weight for my vacation. I have lost about 13 pounds. I wish it was more but I’m beginning to actually enjoy diet soda. Now if I could only lay off of the junk food. Oh well, one thing at a time I guess.

I can’t wait until the Homerun Derby

Ξ July 8th, 2007 | → 0 Comments | ∇ I love Ryan Howard, sports, baseball |

I can’t wait. I want to see all of the participants hit the ball. My favorite right now is Ryan Howard who won last year. I’m glad that even though he wasn’t voted into the All-Star game that he decided to accept MLB’s invitation to defend his crown at the derby. I think that speaks volumes about his character and one of the reasons why I’m rooting for him.
